The Sickle Cell Disease Association of Illinois has held an annual healthy living competition involving, walking, jogging, running and biking, since 1974.

The Walk-Jog-Bike-A-Thon, or WJBAT is one of the oldest outdoor fundraisers in the Chicagoland area and is a major revenue source for SCDAI's programs and services. The event draws a loyal crowd of participants onto a path along the shores of Lake Michigan where we put sickle cell disease on the run!

The WJBAT brings together individuals from all walks of life in support of more than 5,000 individuals with sickle cell disease in the state of Illinois. The financial success of this event depends solely on participants, like you, getting your teams signed up and collecting donations!
